The dual rocket launcher was portable weapon used by Zion defense forces. It was used during the Battle of Zion primarily to destroy Diggers. The weapon features a dual-barreled rocket launcher that launches two rockets at the same time at the target.

During the Battle of Zion, it took at least two hits to destroy the leg of a Digger. The weapon required two people to operate properly: one person aimed and fired the weapon and the other was in charge of reloading and carrying the ammunition.
While sentinels were not the intended targets of the rockets during the Battle for Zion, the rockets' warheads are still powerful enough to destroy them. If the flyers detected a rocket's approach, they would fly directly into the projectile's path, sacrificing themselves to prevent damage to the digger. Therefore, aim and fire during the battle required a high amount of skill and timing, considering that the digger machines each had dozens of sentinels protecting them.
