Insectoids (or Ant Men) were insect-like Exiles kept by The Merovingian.
History
The Insectoids were encountered by Neo in The Merovingian's Chateau while he was trying to escape through the Distorted Dimensions. They often appeared as he went through the doors turning the world on its side, and relentlessly followed and attacked him until he destroyed them with fire.
Abilities
Like many exiles, Insectoids were extremely hard to kill, only being vulnerable to fire. They could jump extraordinary high and far, and were able to dissolve into the air and reform at another place.
