Mandarin is the spoiled brat among the Spectrum Siblings, a family of exiles created by Dame White and Mr. Black. The second youngest of the siblings, he tends to be taken for granted and underestimated, partly because of his lack of political acumen (he's seen as a bit of a crybaby and tattletale) and partly because of his unrefined, debauched and hedonistic lifestyle.
