Stalingrad after its defeat by a Sentinel invasion force
Stalingrad was a fortress designed by The General and operated by his loyal Sentinel forces in the Real World as a hardened transmission site for them to broadcast their own pirate signal into the Matrix. Long a nuisance to the Machines the outpost suffered many attacks before being successfully destroyed, its inhabitants forced to flee into the Matrix where they all quickly became property of The Merovingian.
