The storyteller was the person or the role who relayed "The Miller's Tale", otherwise known as the legend of Geoffrey, twice a year during the bi-annual Bread Feast. All Resistance members in Zion, as well as almost all redpills liberated from the Matrix, considering that redpills were never freed past a certain age, would have grown up hearing the tale.
