The Digger was an Exile who could be usually found in the Dannah Heights neighborhood of Richland. He was easily distinguishable by his adventurous clothes. It was believed that he spent too much time dusting bookshelves rather than brandishing a whip.
Biography[]
In Chapter 8.3.5, the Digger showed some operatives a dungeon within the the tunnels below Rawlins Corner, where he explained in his belief that it was a direct code recreation from the second version of the Matrix (The Nightmare Matrix).
The Digger also discussed speculation regarding the Machine manipulation of symbols which are based on the book of Genesis, hypothesizing that there are multiple Matrix simulations running inside each other.
- His appearance is based on the well-known fictional character, Indiana Jones, who is part action hero part archaeologist.
